What Is AfriLab AI Film Hub?
AfriLab AI Film Hub is a 12-week creative cohort, media series, and competition designed to introduce African youth to the practical use of artificial intelligence in filmmaking and storytelling.
Ten selected creators will produce original 45-minute AI-powered films, using AI tools for scripting, visuals, sound, music, editing, and promotion.
The program concludes with a public grand finale, where the winning film—selected by audience voting—receives $1,000.

How It Works
Step 1: Apply
Submit a short video pitch, a one-page story synopsis, and explain how you plan to use AI in your film.
Step 2: Create
Over 12 weeks, selected creators move through ideation, production, and launch—receiving guidance, exposure, and accountability.
Step 3: Premiere & Win
Films are released to the public. Audiences vote. One creator wins the $1,000 grand prize.
